Real life

Karel dragged me away from the console yesterday morning for breakfast and champagne, to remind me that I’m a year less young than I was. This turned out to be stage one in a three-part plan that covered lunch and dinner too, and I had a fantastic time – so thank you to everyone who came along in the evening and who helped to make it so special.

Maybe it’s a sign of age, but – no, scratch that – maybe it’s a sign of the troubled economic climate, but I noticed a lot of friends heading home early last night. Hedonism isn’t what it used to be. And you know the worst thing? I was exhausted by the time we finished anyway.
